Vineyards and Oak Studded Hills
DISPLAYING: 11" x 14" Giclée Art Print
This print painted by artist Kerne Erickson depicts the oak studded hills around Talley Vineyards in the Arroyo Grande Valley AVA The terrain is made of sedimentary and volcanic soils over a layer of bedrock called the Franciscan Complex, which is uplifted oceanic and continental crust that was formed over 100 million years ago. The valley is divided by a fog line produced by the cool coastal fogs where Zinfandel, Petite Sirah and Rhône varietals are grown on the higher elevations near Lopez Lake and the cooler mid-valley vineyards being home to Chardonnay and Pinot Noir.
Some of the wineries in this area are: Laetitia Vineyard & Winery, Talley Vineyards, Kynsi Winery, 101 Wine, Alban Vineyards, Laetitia Vineyard & Winery.
